During the very hot summer days my skin tends to be dehydrated and itchy. I always use products that deeply hydrate and nourish my skin .
My favorite body balm was about to finish and I decided to try another one from a different cosmetic brand. Therefore, I purchased the ANTI-ITCH SOOTHING BALM from URIAGE. It is made for dry skin prone to atopic eczema. Although I don’t have eczema, I prefer such body balms.
Contains a complex of 10% Shea Butter and Illipe Oil which is a vegetable fat.
Shea butter (Butyrospermum parkii) is extracted from the nuts of the shea tree. It is an emollient and occlusive. Has also anti-inflammatory properties.
It is rich in fatty acids. Contains also vitamins A,D and E and phytosterols.
The composition of Illipe Oil is similar to Cocoa Butter, rich in fatty acids.
It is a MICROBIOME PATENTED TECHNOLOGY composed of 4 patents.
The balm contains also:
Uriage Thermal Water
Glycerin
Rapeseed Sterols with hydrating, repairing and anti-inflammatory properties when combined with the raspberry ceramides.
Raspberry Seed Oil/Palm Oil, ceramides of natural origin based on the raspberry oil.
Phytosphingosine is naturally derived and belongs to the building block of ceramides.
Borage Seed Oil with omega-3 fatty acids that reduces skin inflammation.
MY OPINION ABOUT THE BALM
It is a nourishing and protective balm that immediately alleviates symptoms of itchiness and irritation. It has a pleasant balm-to oil texture that leaves a non-greasy protective film on the skin. It is unscented.
The balm moisturizes my skin very well. Immediately provides a feeling of comfort. Leaves my skin soft. It is easily absorbed .
I highly recommend it! As for every new product, you should always have a patch test before.
