A toner balances the skin’s pH and prepares it for the active substances to work more efficiently. Removes the cleanser leftovers as well as impurities that they were not eliminated by the cleanser, hydrates the skin preparing it to absorb the serum and the cream. When the skin is irritated by the surfactants of the cleanser, a hydrating toner is mostly essential as the next step.
These are my favorite toners the last few months:
AHAVA
MINERAL TONIC WATER
Cleanses and prepares skin for the next step of the skincare routine. Rebalances moisture and restore the skin’s pH. It is alcohol, SLS/SLES free. Enriched with the skin activator, Osmoter™, a signature blend of hydrating Dead Sea minerals. Contains also moisturizing bilberry fruit extract and fruit acids for smooth and radiant appearance of the skin. The allantoin soothes any irritation.
It is an amazing toner. Leaves my skin soft, well-balanced and refreshed. Moisturizes and tightens my skin’s pores. I love it!
AVÈNE
SOOTHING TONING LOTION
This toner accomplishes make up removal. Gives the skin a feeling of comfort. It is ideal for dry, very dry and sensitive skin.
Contains 98% Avène thermal spring water. It is alcohol free. It has also a pleasant scent but it doesn’t irritate my skin. Eliminates dirt, leaves the skin clean, fresh, toned and soft. I like this toner and I recommend it.
Both products were purchased by me. I do not sell nor collaborate with any of the above companies. My comments come from my personal experience.
